After photographing sunset at Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park, I started my drive back to Edmonton. I had found an abandoned truck in a field earlier in the day and I saved it to Google Maps so I could visit later. When I first saw the truck I knew I wanted to play with light painting, so that’s exactly what I did.<\/p>\n

I could only do a 30 second exposure on bulb mode because somewhere on this trip, I lost the receiver for my remote. So after playing with settings and flashlights, I headed back to the town of Dorothy, where I had explored this old grain elevator the day before.\u00a0 Once again, a 30 second exposure and then some light painting and I came away with this shot.<\/p>\n

After taking this shot I headed to my car to sleep, and set my alarm to wake up for sunrise. Once again, I didn’t wake up from my alarms. It would have been nice to see first morning light hit the abandoned church I was parked at, but I’ll just have to get it next time. You may see a few more photos pop up from this trip eventually, but for now, these are the images I captured while on my tour of southern Alberta.
