August Long Weekend Hiking/Camping.

Friday, August 6, 2010

Went to the mountains again for the long weekend. The first night we camped at Preachers Point along the North Saskatchewan. Woke up for sunrise and drove to a spot along Abraham Lake and this is the shot I made from there. Single RAW capture. I’d like to go back here when, and if, the sun rises right at the low point between the mountains. I used The Photographer’s Ephemeris and it looks like I’ll have to be there around November 30th – December 20th for that to happen. That’s a fairly large amount of time to take off work!

“Valley Sunrise” Abraham Lake near Nordegg, Alberta.

And that’s why I was wondering if you were there around the same time as me haha.
