Piha Beach – New Zealand.

Tuesday, May 3, 2011

This was the next area we visited after shooting Rangitoto Volcano. It was a small stop on our way to Karekare, and it was here we saw our first New Zealand beach. The sand was blazing hot beneath our feet, and this spot where the water sometimes came up to was perfect for taking off your sandals and strolling along the beach. We strolled the beach for a while and tanned in the incredibly strong NZ sun. I’d recommend SPF 60 and lots of it if you’re planning on visiting here in the summer months. The clouds and bubbles left behind from the surf caught my eye and I snapped a few photos. Once again I present the same two photos. One in color, and the other in black and white. For these two photos, I stacked three horizontal shots. One on top of the other, in Photoshop, and then cropped the image to a one to one ratio.

If you look really closely, you can see a few people off in the distance.
